After the children were able to play and jump on the trampoline, it was time to share a meal and a drink together. This great moment was preceded by a prayer thanks to God for this year for having kept and protected us. A small cake was offered to the kids on the celebration for them who do not know their birthday then the time to give gifts for everyone and especially those who did well at school. Joy Foundation was also able to donate clothes so that on December 25, the Christmas Day, children could be well dressed at the church.
Feed properly in order to overcome malnutrition
Through to our own efforts, more than 30 children can defeat hunger and poverty. Joy Foundation has incorporated income generating activities such as a porridge flour project “Baby Joy Porridge”. Through this small project, children from Kimbote quarter of Buterere zone in the province of Bujumbura who are supported by Joy Foundation are feed properly in order to overcome malnutrition, monitored in the school environment for their futures. For helping us improve our charitable goal, 1KG of Baby Joy Porridge flour costs 1 US$ to continue supporting these children in need. We wish we could help everyone, but we just can’t. That’s why we have selected a few to whom. We always serve a hot home cooked meal. Reaching out and helping the children of the deprived community is our saving grace.

JEAN DE DIEU NEED OUR HELP
Jean de Dieu is a child of only four years old. He has picked out from the street by a woman whose life was collecting waste charcoal from garbage.
However, that woman was used to seeing that child so many days at the garbage; so, she decided to fetch some information in order to know more about that child. Surprisingly she got some news of his concern on how he gets food for having dug in the trash cans.
Touched by that story, she took the decision to bring him at her home for his upbringing. Reached out of that information we visited the place and concluded to make a change by doing what we can.
As the doings continue to increase, we beg for everyone out there who can feel the need of helping that little child to come over and join us on those good deeds.
